ADEX, the largest and longest running dive show in Asia, is coming back to China once again! Asia Dive Expo (ADEX) is celebrating its 22nd year in 2016. A must-attend event for anyone interested or involved in the world of diving, ADEX has seen a continuous increase in visitors over the past few years, with the 2015 show attracting a total of 57,793 visitors over three days.

Organized by Underwater360 (UW360), it is an event being endorsed by major players in the industry such as DEMA (USA), the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and the Singapore Underwater Federation (SUF).

UW360 is a platform where divers come to get information about the region’s diving and to share their experiences with other divers. Taking place over three days from September 2 - 4, 2016, the dive expo will consist of programs related to recreational diving, freediving, tek diving, underwater photography and marine conservation efforts, including presentations by world-renowned photographers focusing on their passions and their work.

ADEX China will also feature the live judging of the 4th China Underwater Photo Contest. The competition is open to images taken anywhere and with any system, wide-angle, macro, color or black and white; we’re looking for pictures with the WOW factor! This event is always lively and engaging, featuring world-renowned members of the underwater photography community providing invaluable insights into what they look for in a winning picture. Other highlights of this year’s ADEX China include the launch of Book Festival, where attendees can get their hands on the latest books from well-known writers and underwater photographers around the world. Speakers will be giving in-depth insights on their books with a book signing session after each of their presentations. You’ll also have the chance to bring out the popcorn and indulge yourself in a world of underwater movies and documentaries at the ADEX China Film Festival 2016! The Film Festival will be screening a plethora of motion pictures over the three days of ADEX China 2016. With a weekend at the movies at ADEX China 2016, you will be sure to catch some of the best productions in ocean conservation, education and inspiration of our beloved big blue.

The ADEX China Ambassador (Greater China) is Joyce Tang, a Hong Kong actress who is also a PADI Rescue Diver. She is one of the lead actresses in the movie Armed Reaction and appeared in many other television series including Dragon, Step into the Past, Wars of In-Laws II and Who Loved Women.

The ADEX China official publication, Scuba Diver AUSTRALASIA, has an annual ADEX edition to commemorate the event.
